Lending Specialist – Home Improvement Financing

At Regions, the Home Improvement Financing Lending Specialist is responsible for accepting and processing customer loan applications while maintaining a high level of customer service and accuracy. The role also provides administrative support within the group and communicates professionally with external customers and internal partners.

• Handles customer phone calls and assists customers with financing home improvements
• Adjusts existing applications as needed
• Communicates application processes and provides approval or denial decisions to customers
• Ensures company procedures are followed
• Serves as a back up to perform administrative support functions
• Prepares and composes letters and reports
• May provide guidance to associates with less experience

This position requires the tracking of time and is eligible for overtime hours worked in excess of 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

• High School Diploma or GED

• Professional work experience preferably in a financial institution

• Ability to use good judgement in difficult situations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and team environment
• Demonstrated ability to follow directions and training procedures
• Excellent computer skills, including general database applications and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent customer relation skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to accurately observe stable and scrolling on-screen text and images
• Ability to accurately detect verbal information and communicate verbally using a headset or speaker and microphone
• Ability to operate a keyboard and mouse to type and make on-screen selections
• Ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time

Full time

Monday through Friday: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm. 8‑hour Saturday shift every 3 weeks, with a weekday off when the Saturday shift occurs. Shared holiday rotation results in approximately 2 holidays per year.
