You'll model a custom home from first concept through final construction documents, working directly with clients instead of through layers of process. A residential architecture and design firm working with custom home builders and clients primarily in Utah, focused on designing beautiful homes while putting the client experience at the center of the process. The firm works on projects ranging from starter custom homes to full luxury builds, and uses modern tools like 3D rendering and VR walkthroughs as part of the actual design workflow.
It's a small, established, founder led firm with a fast paced, fun, and flexible culture.
The Role
You'll be involved in every phase of the design process, from modeling homes from scratch to meeting directly with clients to reviewing final construction documents. This is a full time, in office role with flexible hours and competitive pay.
What You Will Be Doing- Model custom homes from scratch, developing and revising designs through each stage
- Meet with clients in person or virtually to gather requirements, present design options, and walk through revisions
- Research applicable codes, HOA guidelines, and city requirements for current projects
- Coordinate with team members to ensure client requests and design changes are carried through accurately
- Prepare models for virtual reality walkthroughs
- Review construction documents prepared by drafters to confirm they meet firm design standards
- 5+ years of experience in architectural design or drafting
- Proficient in Revit and Bluebeam
- Solid working knowledge of construction processes, codes, and requirements
- Detail oriented, with strong follow through from concept to completion
- Comfortable owning a design across every phase, not just one specialty
- Licensed Architect, or actively pursuing licensure
