Science Business Assistant (part-time 17.5 hrs/wk)
This person assists the Computer Science Business Manager with travel reporting, scholarship payments, club/association management, and related financial processes.
What You’ll Do In This Position Travel & Expense Reports- Process non-worker travel spend authorizations and expense reports
- Process student travel expenses, including creation of spend authorizations and ensuring department and college travel funding is applied.
- Develop and implement processes for improving non-worker and student travel administration.
- Submit and track scholarship payments every term/semester
- Work with Grad Advisor and Business Manager regarding scholarships
- Develop and implement processes for improving scholarship payments
- Learn about club/association information and ensuring the department is following policies and processes
- Track club/association leadership each term/semester
- Disperse club/association information to the leadership and faculty advisors
- Support club/association faculty advisors
- Pick up and disperse gift cards and research cash
- Ensure gift & prize forms are filled out
- Bachelor’s degree
- 4 years of office work experience
- Strong background in Microsoft Office, including Excel
- Strong oral communication skills
- Strong conflict resolution skills
- Well organized, detail-oriented, and takes initiative
- Bachelor’s degree in business or finance
- 6 years of office work and 2 years of that in an educational setting
- Experience with travel management and arrangement
- Experience working with young adults in a university setting
- Knowledge of BYU policy and practices related to clubs/associations, travel, purchasing, and financial management

Pay Grade: 49
Typical Starting Pay: $22.50 to $29.25 an hour
