Required Degree:
Bachelor's degree in Jazz Performance or a closely related field. Master's degree preferred.

The required degree must be completed by the start date.

Experience:

Required 5+ years of experience teaching jazz trumpet lessons and 5+ years of experience performing professionally in jazz styles.

Duties/Expectations:

Teach Music 160R and Music 359R:
Jazz Trumpet and private lessons

Firm commitment to the aims and mission of BYUExceptional student mentoring skills

Ability to demonstrate musical expertise

Assist students with technique, theory, style, and improvisation

Provide positive and inclusive learning environment
