• MA or MS required; a degree in Philosophy preferred.
• Degree must be completed by the start date.
• Previous teaching experience preferred.
• Relocation or residence in Utah for the duration of employment required.

• Teach PHIL
  110 (Intro to Philosophy), PHIL
  201 & PHIL
  202 (History of Philosophy), and PHIL
  205 (Intro to Logic/Critical Thinking).
• Prepare and publish a course syllabus on Learning Suite, BYU's course management system.
• Hold regular office hours.

• All employees must abide by the university's Honor Code and Dress & Grooming Standards.
• Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter‑Day Saints required to hold a current temple recommend and be worthy.
• Preference given to qualified candidates who are members in good standing of the affiliated church.
• Successful candidates expected to support and contribute to the academic and religious missions of the university in alignment with the church principles and doctrines.
