EFY Session Director Spouse

Responsibilities

• Prepare and co-deliver morningside messages that not only engage and interest the participants but help inspire and motivate them to live more like the Savior.
• Work with local campus personnel, staff, and all participants in a professional manner to facilitate on-site coordination of assigned EFY sessions, as directed by an administrator.
• Demonstrate proficient formal and informal teaching techniques and create a learning atmosphere in which all recognize and learn by the Spirit.
• Help all youth have a positive and uplifting experience and, as needed, handle youth disciplinary situations with sensitivity.
• Understand, follow, and (where applicable) enforce EFY policies addressing general conduct, youth protection, sexual misconduct, and standards of communication.
• Read and study the EFY Staff Handbook prior to first contracted week.

• Sound preparation in proposed field/topic.
• Teaching ability, communication skills, appearance, sincerity, attitude of sharing and personal testimony.
• Willingness to adhere to EFY policy that prohibits promotion of any personal goods or services or any organization or its products.
• Willingness to adhere to the EFY travel policy.
• Accept as a condition of employment compliance with Brigham Young University Honor Code.
• Must hold a current temple recommend and be worthy to hold it.
• Setting a strong example for participants.
• Have previous EFY/FSY employment experience or equivalent leadership experience supervising peers and/or youth.
• Pass required background check for this position.
• Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America for CE Events, LLC (no visa sponsorship will be provided).
• Be willing to travel to various EFY locations as needed. Travel to sessions is assigned, arranged, and paid for by EFY and will originate from and return to Brigham Young University (see the EFY Travel policy on the EFY employment website).
