Position Overview:
Powder Mountain Ski & Snowboard School is seeking guest oriented, self-motivated Supervisors to help lead our team of Powder Mountain Ski & Snowboard Pros. This role will work closely with the Ski & Snowboard School Leadership Team, and you will have a part in influencing, guiding, and shaping the direction of the Powder Mountain School for the short and long term.
Key Responsibilities:
* Be team-oriented and laser focused on providing a positive guest experience on the snow and in Powder Mountain facilities.
* Oversee the secure Check in and Check out process.
* Conduct proper class assignments to Pros, accounting for abilities of guests and team members
* Ensure Pros are using Rosters and Progress Cards properly and consistently.
* Primary point of contact for Pros to ask questions during instruction hours.
* Aid in conflict resolution between guests and Pros.
* Complete accurate labor reporting.
* Strive to elevate quality of product and assign training as needed.
* Updates the Staff Evaluation Tracking spreadsheet frequently with pertinent information used in Mid/End of Season Evaluations.
* Day to Day forecasting and scheduling to match business needs.
* Participate in all aspects of staff management, hiring, firing, disciplinary conversations.
* Manage fencing and learning zone areas when needed.
* Assist with neighbor programming when needed
Requirements and/or
Qualifications:
* PSIA / AASI Level 2 or equivalent
Physical Requirements:
* Full range of body movements
* Reach, push, pull, lift, and carry objects that may be heavy (40+lbs)
* Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and twisting
* Walk on even/uneven/slippery terrain
* Climb/descend stairs/ladders
* Manual dexterity to operate manual tools and power equipment on a constant basis
* Safely handle hazardous materials
Working Environment:
Must be able to work outdoors in extreme conditions for extended periods of time
