Programming for Text Processing and Analysis (Evening School)
College‑level teaching position for the course DigHT/Ling
360. The start date is September1,2026 and the Final date to receive applications is July
15,2026.
- Teach the course following the department‑approved curriculum
- Hold regular office hours
- Complete grade books, final grade sheets, learning assessments, and final exam assessments on a timely basis
- Identify at‑risk students and refer them to academic support services
- Ensure course and program learning outcomes are delivered per syllabus
- Assist students in meeting the AIMS of BYU education and progress in the course
- Ph.D. in computational linguistics or a related field, completed by the start date
- Significant experience with Python (10+ years), text analysis, and computational linguistics (10+ years)
- Teaching experience at the college level (7+ years)
- Familiarity with BYU policy and procedure
- Relocation to or residency in Utah for the duration of employment
