Adjunct Teaching – Physics & Astronomy – Physics Demonstration Courses

- Teach introductory physics/physical science demonstration classes, including PS100, 105, 106, 121, 123, and 220.
- Provide demonstration‑based instruction in support of assigned courses and instructional activities.
- Coordinate the preparation and delivery of teaching demonstrations in collaboration with faculty.
- Communicate with faculty regarding demonstration needs, scheduling, setup requirements, and instructional goals.
- Maintain existing teaching demonstrations to ensure they remain functional, current, safe, and instructionally effective.
- Assist with identifying, acquiring, and preparing new demonstrations that support course content and student learning.
- Ensure demo area activities are conducted in a professional, organized, and student‑centered manner.
- Bachelor’s degree in physics, engineering, or a closely related field completed by the start date.
- Experience with science demonstrations or teaching laboratory apparatus.
- Preferred experience with instructional, teaching, or laboratory demonstrations and similar hands‑on educational activities.
- Successful candidate must relocate to and/or reside in Utah for the duration of employment.
- All new employees who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter‑day Saints will be required to hold a current temple recommend.
