Provide English tutoring to Upward Bound high school students during the academic year, Saturdays from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, and by appointment throughout the week, as requested by students. May Occasionally implement grade-level specific college preparatory English activities and lessons.
This is a pooled position. Applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available. After a period of time the pool will expire and applicants will be notified

Involved in a post-secondary institution with a major in the pertinent academic discipline or evidence of equivalent knowledge and/or experience. Experience in tutoring, mentoring, and/or community service with high school level students.

Graduate of TRIO program or experience in overcoming the challenges and/or circumstances similar to those of the target population.

Due to the Affordable Care Act ( ACA ), individuals who have worked in a salaried capacity for Weber State University are ineligible to be hired as an hourly or adjunct employee at Weber State for six months. Criminal Background check is required as a condition of employment. If you are hired, please keep in mind that you will need to complete the appropriate Payroll and HR documents prior to beginning work.
