Intramural Program Administrator (part-time, 28 hours/week)
Student Wellness provides programs, education, resources, and facilities that promote life-long behaviors for a healthier, happier, and successful life. The Intramural Program Administrator is primarily responsible for the intramural officiating program and provides additional support for the department’s recreational sports and activities that serve the BYU campus community. The BYU Intramural Activities Program is one of the largest of its kind.

Each year around 12,000+ students are involved in the program with roughly 2000 teams in 40+ activities.

What you’ll do in this position:

Management of the Intramural Officiating Program Hires and terminates all intramural game officials

Facilitates training of rules, mechanics, and technical aspects of sport officiating

Promotes effective game management skills

Schedules official’s game and work assignments

Conducts regular training interviews and development sessions with staff

Manages program to evaluate officials

Compiles reports and video segments for staff evaluations

Resolves conflicts that arise

Models and promotes principles of good sportsmanship

Intramural Activity Programming Administer several specific sports each semester

Event publicity, programming, and evaluation

Tournament scheduling and management

Interviews participants and mediates sportsmanship violations

Sport equipment acquisition, storage, and maintenance

Mentoring of student program coordinators
