May underfill as Landscape Maintenance Specialist I.

Under general guidance and direction of the Landscape Supervisor, performs semi-skilled to skilled work in maintaining public landscapes and grounds of Utah County Government facilities and properties. Performs routine and complex tasks at a full performance level. Incumbents in this classification are capable of leading others in day-to-day landscape maintenance activities.

• 718 - $20.22 - $23.27

Monday -- Thursday, 6:30 a.m.

-- 5:00 p.m.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Four (4) years of work experience maintaining grounds and sprinkler systems.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may also be considered.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two (2) years of work experience in facility maintenance and repair.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may also be considered.

• Selected applicants must obtain the following during the probation or trial period and maintain the following certifications throughout employment:
• Forklift Operator certification
• State of Utah Pesticide certification
• Complete a defensive driving class
• County employees must possess said certifications and licensure upon reassignment, transfer, or career ladder advancement.
• Selected applicants must complete one (1) or more of the following classes/certifications during the probationary period for new hires or the trial period for promoted County employees and maintain the following certifications throughout employment:
• State of Utah Commercial Drivers License (Class
  
  A)
• Master Gardener Certification
• Arboriculture Certification
• Backflow Certification
• Sawyer Certification
• Qualified Water Efficient Landscape (QWEL) Certification
• Irrigation Technician Certification with the Irrigation Association
• County employees reassigned, transferred, or advanced through career ladder to this classification must possess said certifications and licensure upon reassign
• ignment, transfer, or career ladder advancement.

• Preference may be given to applicants with documented coursework or training in plant care.
