PositionSummary
We are seeking a motivated, customer-service-oriented licensed pharmacist to join our high-volume pharmacy team. This part‑time/PRN position provides coverage during the week and weekends as needed. Candidates should have a flexible schedule, with a tentative regular weekday and Saturday hours. This is an excellent opportunity to join a thriving, energetic outpatient clinic pharmacy.
Qualifications- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy (R.Ph.) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited institution. - Experience:
Minimum of 3 years in a retail pharmacy setting. - Technical
Skills:
Proficiency in basic compounding is required. Experience with PioneerRX pharmacy management software and independent retail operations is highly preferred. - Licensure:
Must hold an unrestricted pharmacist license in Utah.
- Clinical & Retail Operations:
Fulfill all clinical and retail pharmacy functions, ensuring drugs are dispensed safely, accurately, and in compliance with state and federal laws. - Patient Care:
Provide expert consultation to patients regarding prescription medications, non-prescription products, and medical devices. - Operational Support:
Assist with ordering products, inventory management, and support pharmacy initiatives to stimulate growth within the clinic and retail sectors. - Compliance & Safety:
Maintain effective controls against theft or diversion, ensure accurate record‑keeping in the data processing system, and submit relevant information to the Controlled Substance Database in a timely manner. - Compounding & Distribution:
Oversee bulk compounding and packaging for nursing homes or extended‑care facilities as required. - Team Leadership:
Provide education and training to pharmacy technicians and interns; delegate tasks effectively to ensure smooth daily operations. - Facility Management:
Execute opening and closing procedures, including securing the facility and managing alarm codes. - Customer Excellence:
Respond to customer inquiries and resolve complaints with a professional, action-oriented approach.
- Strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills.
- Proven ability to prioritize, organize, and manage workflows in a busy environment.
- Self-starter mentality with a "team player" attitude.
- Demonstrated ability to manage conflict and lead subordinates effectively.
- Flexibility to provide coverage for the Pharmacy Director as needed.
Monday‑Friday 8:30‑6:30;
Saturday 9:00‑1:00
