Department: TCW Admin - EDH | Shift: Primarily Days (United States of America) | Employee Type:
Regular | Minimum Pay Range: $30.86 - $37.04

Position Summary

The Senior Patient Service Representative role provides administrative support to patients and clinicians. Key duties include handling patient registration, scheduling, billing inquiries, MyChart support, and ensuring necessary authorizations are in place.

The position also involves resolving issues, training staff, managing scheduling templates, and addressing patient concerns. Additional responsibilities may include supporting other departments and coordinating insurance access.

Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent (required).
  • A minimum of three years’ healthcare experience (vision, dental, and veterinary accepted).
  • A minimum of four years of customer service experience (preferably within a healthcare environment).
  • Three years of experience in automated scheduling in a physician office (preferred).
  • Experience in a multi-provider medical office (highly desired).
  • Experience working with patients and providers, using Epic (electronic health record) (required).
Skills
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize while managing a high volume of telephone calls.
  • Proactive initiative, ability to learn quickly, and active participation in an administrative team.
  • Computer proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel), Google applications, and rapid learning of new programs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and comfort working with people at all stages of health and healing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff, volunteers, and the general public.
  • Adherence to HIPAA regulations and maintenance of clinic, provider, RN, and patient confidentiality.
  • Comfortable with verifying and processing insurance eligibility, obtaining authorization requests, and verifying personal credentials with external partners (e.g.,  for VA insurance coordination).
