Role Overview

As a Nuclear Medicine-PET/CT Technologist, you will perform diagnostic imaging exams using specialized equipment, working closely with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate results. You will maintain competency in clinical functions, prepare patients, operate imaging equipment, review image quality, and adhere to radiation safety guidelines. Providing patient education, ensuring comfort, and practicing infection control are essential duties. You will also document procedures, follow regulatory protocols, and support team members.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Current state license and clinical board certification (ARRT or NMTCB).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and IV certification.
  • At least one year of clinical Nuclear Medicine experience; PET/CT experience and a bachelor’s degree are preferred.
  • Knowledge of radiopharmaceuticals, radiation safety, imaging techniques, anatomy, emergency response, and effective communication.
  • Physical ability to handle equipment, assist patients, and perform manual tasks.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform exams following protocols, verify patient identity, and ensure image quality.
  • Maintain safety standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Educate and comfort patients, address concerns, and keep accurate records.
  • Assist with equipment operation, troubleshooting, and quality control.
  • Support team collaboration and contribute to a safe, sterile environment.
