Position Details

Location:

Utah Valley Float Pool Status: PRN (as needed)

Shift: Varied Shifts What You'll DoAs a Radiologic Technologist, you will perform diagnostic imaging examinations using specialized radiographic equipment while providing exceptional patient care and ensuring high-quality imaging outcomes.

Essential Functions Maintains ARRT or modality-specific competency in all clinical and technical functions.

Ensures proper patient identification, order verification, and prepares patients for examinations.

Performs exams according to department protocols and reviews images for quality, clarity, and accuracy.

Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and maintains a safe environment for patients and caregivers.

Completes studies efficiently without compromising quality or patient care.

Assists and instructs students and fellow Radiology Techs in exam protocols, positioning, procedures, and equipment use.

Provides patient education, promotes comfort, and addresses questions or concerns.

Practices infection prevention and sterile techniques.

Operates imaging equipment and related information systems to ensure quality diagnostic images.

Maintains accurate patient records, exam documentation, and procedure information.

Follows department protocols related to medical necessity, coding, charging, quality control, consents, and equipment maintenance/reporting.

Minimum Qualifications American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ( ARRT(R) ) certification

Current Radiologic Technologist license in Utah Basic Life Support ( BLS ) certification for healthcare providers
