Human Service Worker at IRT - Part-Time; On Call

Join Wasatch Behavioral Health as a Part-Time, On-Call Human Service Worker with our Intensive Residential Treatment (IRT) Center in Provo, Utah! This onsite position offers a competitive wage of $17.50–$22.17/hour and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of adults living with chronic mental illness. IRT provides residential care and treatment as an alternative to hospitalization, offering a structured, therapeutic environment where residents can access therapy, case management, medication management, nursing support, and assistance developing essential daily living skills.

As an on-call Human Service Worker, you'll provide compassionate support and supervision while helping residents build independence, participate in structured activities, and continue progressing toward their recovery goals.

Schedule:

Sunday-Saturday (Days are Varied), On Call (Hours are Varied)
Compensation: $17.50–$22.17 DOE

• Provide compassionate support, supervision, and encouragement to program participants.
• Assist residents with daily routines, living skills, and activities that promote independence.
• Facilitate structured activities and skills groups in a supportive environment.
• Assist with crisis intervention and help maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic setting.
• Document client interactions, progress, and observations accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with therapists, supervisors, nursing staff, and other members of the treatment team.
• Model positive behaviors, healthy coping strategies, and effective communication.
• Support residents as they work toward their individualized treatment and recovery goals.

• High school diploma or GED
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to stay calm, patient, and grounded during challenging situations
• Reliable, team-oriented, and eager to learn
• Experience or education in mental/behavioral health is helpful but not required
• Must pass a background check and meet WBH hiring standards
• Spanish speakers may qualify for a wage increase

Employment at Wasatch Behavioral Health is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen, motor vehicle record review and criminal background check. After hire you must complete and receive a Criminal Background Clearance (BCI) from Utah State Office of Licensing. Upon receipt of a conditional offer of employment in the position, you must provide an official copy of licensure or certification.
