Angel Studios is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Dev Ops Engineer to join the Platform team. This role is integral to ensuring our systems are robust, scalable, and reliable. You will play a key role in maintaining the reliability, performance, and scalability of our systems. You will work closely with our development teams to automate processes, deploy infrastructure, and manage cloud environments using AWS.

• Dev Ops Practices:
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes using tools such as Terraform, or similar
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines and streamline code deployment
• AWS Cloud Management:
• Design, deploy, and manage scalable and secure AWS infrastructure
• Optimize AWS resource usage and cost through effective monitoring and management
• Implement security best practices for cloud-based environments
• System Reliability & Performance:
• Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure high availability and performance of applications.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and reliability issues in production environments
• Contribute to and execute incident response and disaster recovery plans
• Collaboration & Communication:
• Work closely with software engineers to ensure seamless integration of new features and services
• Participate in on-call rotations and provide support for incident management
• Document processes, configurations, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity

• Experience:
• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and Elasti Cache
• Strong background in using automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar
• Technical
  
  Skills:
• Solid understanding of Kubernetes and Docker containerization
• Demonstrable experience with Git Hub Actions, Jenkins, or some other deployment pipeline
• Hands-on experience with DNS management, TLS certificates, cloud networking, CDN
• Soft Skills:
• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• 5 years of relevant experience

• 5+ years of experience
• Kubernetes experience
• AWS experience
• Experience with the Angel Guild

When in the main office, expect a comfortable, air-conditioned work environment. Team members are issued their own desks, but the office is an open, shared space and can be fast-paced and occasionally noisy.

Will need to be able to sit or stand at a desk for extended periods of time.

Regular full-time, 40 hours per week.

No out of state travel anticipated at this time.

Must be authorized to work in the United States.
