We are seeking a hard-working, innovative, detail-oriented and creative team player to join our Aptive team! This is a full-time Dev Sec Ops Manager position located in Provo, Utah

- Infrastructure Operations and Administration (25%) - Provision, configure, and maintain AWS infrastructure (ECS/EKS, Aurora PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, VPC/networking); manage IAM, secrets, backups, and patching
- CI/CD & Release Automation (20%) - Build and maintain deployment pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and multi-arch container builds across Go, PHP/Laravel, and React/Type Script services
- Security Operations (20%) - Monitor and respond to security events, manage vulnerability scanning, access controls, and audit/compile evidence, and lead security incident response
- Observability and Reliability (15%) - Operate monitoring, logging, and alerting. Define SLOs and on‑call rotations, lead production incidents, and postmortems
- Team Leadership (15%) - Manage, coach, and develop infrastructure/platform engineers, set standards, review work, and plan capacity
- Cross-Functional Partnership (5%) - Advise engineering teams on secure, reliable design and embed Dev Sec Ops practices into the delivery lifecycle
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience
- Preferred but not required:
An AWS certification (e.g. Solutions Architect or Sys Ops Administrator) and/or a security certification such as Security+, CISSP, or CCSP. Relevant hands‑on experience may substitute for formal education or certifications
- Expertise administering AWS in production (ECS, EKS, Aurora/RDS, PostgreSQL, VPC, IAM, S3)
- Strong Linux systems administration and networking fundamentals
- Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code (e.g. Terraform), Docker containerization, and CI/CD pipeline design
- Experience in security operations, vulnerability, and secrets management, least‑privilege IAM, logging, and auditing
- Familiarity with message brokers (RabbitMQ) and supporting polyglot services (Go, PHP/Laravel, React/Type Script); scripting/automation in Back, Python, or GO
- Ability to diagnose complex, cross‑system production issues under time pressure and drive them to resolution
- Balances security, reliability, cost, and delivery speed when designing solutions
- Communicates technical risk and operational trade‑offs clearly to both engineers and non‑technical stakeholders
- Document systems, runbooks, and standards so knowledge scales across the team
- Leads calmly during incidents and facilitates blameless postmortems
- Independent and complex individual decision‑making
- Ability to delegate and properly escalation issues as needed
