Cyber Automation Engineer, Lead
We are seeking a Lead Cyber Automation Engineer to design and implement automated workflows that accelerate and strengthen our cyber defense operations. The role involves building scalable, API‑driven integrations, automating detection and response processes, reducing manual workload, and enabling smarter decision‑making across cyber functions.
Responsibilities- Architect automation pipelines and enhance detection logic.
- Integrate data sources and drive continuous improvement of security tooling and processes.
- Work with endpoint, network, and cloud security platforms (e.g., Microsoft Defender, Forescout, McAfee) to automate workflows.
- Develop and maintain scripts in Python, Power Shell, and other automation frameworks.
- Build CI/CD pipelines for automation deployments.
- Measure and improve security effectiveness through analytics.
- 5+ years of experience in cyber automation engineering or security automation development.
- Experience designing automated workflows for cyber detection, response, and operational efficiency.
- Proficiency with endpoint, network, or cloud security technologies such as Microsoft Defender, Forescout, and McAfee.
- Strong scripting skills in Python and Power Shell and experience with API integration.
- Experience with AWS tools such as Code Commit and automated deployment practices.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, including network security, information assurance, and security operations.
- Secret clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience with detection engineering technologies such as Splunk, Cribl, and Sigma rules.
- Experience with cloud automation and Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools such as Terraform.
- Containerization experience with Docker or Kubernetes.
- Experience in hybrid delivery environments and knowledge of SOAR platforms.
- Strong analytical, communication, and cross‑team collaboration skills.
- TS/SCI clearance.
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification.
Compensation ranges from $86,800 to $198,000 annually (USD), based on location and experience.
