The BYU Office of Information Technology is looking to hire a Linux End-User Systems Engineer that is responsible for designing, deploying, managing, and securing Linux endpoints across the university. This role supports academic, research, administrative, and instructional computing needs by ensuring desktops, laptops, lab systems, and specialized workstations are reliable, secure, and aligned with institutional standards by providing scalable endpoint solutions, automating system management, and improving user experience.

This position is in the Office of Information Technology (OIT) and supports units across BYU.

As a Linux End-User Systems Engineer, you contribute directly to the BYU Mission by ensuring that campus Linux end-point computing needs are met. You will have opportunity to influence and support campus-wide projects and initiatives. You are not required to have experience in all areas listed below. We are seeking the most qualified candidates; the more you have, the more likely you will be selected.

Compensation will be commensurate with experience and skills.

Administer Linux endpoint management tools used for system deployment, configuration management, software distribution, and patching.
