Position SummaryThe Building Services Attendant performs a variety of custodial and cleaning tasks before, during, and after an event, including routine trash removal and facility clean‑up. The role requires working odd or unusual hours, including split shifts and holidays, to prepare for events and performing routine custodial and minor maintenance work throughout the venue.
This role pays an hourly rate of $13.00 to $15.00.

About The VenueLocated in historic downtown Provo, Utah, the Utah Valley Convention Center opened in 2012 and offers modern architecture, flexible meeting spaces, and scenic views of the Wasatch Mountains.
Responsibilities- Operate buffer, rider sweepers/scrubbers, walk‑behind scrubbers, blowers, vacuums, and other equipment.
- Climb stairs and lift 40 lbs. unaided.
- Perform sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and polishing.
- Ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected according to venue standards.
- Protect and maintain equipment, ensuring no inadequacies.
- Notify superiors of damages, deficits, and disturbances.
- Safely use cleaning chemicals and communicate proper procedures to staff.
- Maintain the overall look and feel of the building.
- Greet guests with a smile and provide basic event, building, and community information.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work days, nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Work schedule will vary based on events booked.
- Handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to function in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
- Two years’ experience in heavy public contact.
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills.
