Swing Shift - Welding

Action Target in Provo, Utah is hiring a Welder for their swing shift at $20–$23 per hour. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity at a one-of-a-kind manufacturer building cutting-edge firearms training technology — the kind of shop where the work is genuinely interesting and the team takes pride in what they build. Hit 320 hours and you convert to permanent with full benefits, a pay increase, and a retention bonus.

• Read blueprints and technical drawings to plan weld layout and procedures
• Select and perform the appropriate weld method (MIG, TIG, MMA, or other) based on job specifications
• Set up components and equipment for welding according to engineering specs
• Use angle grinders, deburring tools, squares, and calipers to prep and align parts before welding
• Weld components in multiple positions — vertical, horizontal, and overhead
• Inspect and test completed welds to identify and correct flaws before parts move downstream
• Repair machinery and structural components by welding and filling gaps as needed
• Maintain all equipment to ATI safety standards and follow all shop safety policies

• Hands-on welding experience with MIG, TIG, or MMA processes
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Familiarity with metal types and their properties
• Comfortable lifting up to 70 lbs
• Own welding helmet (required for the on-site welding test)

• AWS welding certification or equivalent
• Experience with measurement tools including calipers, tape measures, and fixtures
• Bilingual English/Spanish — training is conducted in English, but bilingual candidates are always welcome

Monday through Thursday, 1:30 PM – 12:00 AM

Overtime available as needed

$20.00 – $23.00 per hour, based on experience

Weekly pay every Friday

After 320 hours: pay increase, retention bonus, and full benefits eligibility including health insurance, telehealth, 401(k) match, tuition reimbursement, PTO, and paid holidays
