Our Partner in the floral distribution industry is looking for a new Floral Processing Supervisor. This person will serve as a hands-on operational leader responsible for building structure, driving accountability, and improving performance within the Processing Department of a floral wholesale warehouse. This individual works alongside the team while leading daily execution, labor efficiency, system accuracy, and product quality. The role requires both physical execution and strategic thinking, with a clear mandate to improve productivity, reduce unnecessary labor hours, strengthen inventory control, and develop measurable performance standards.

Leadership Responsibilities
  • Lead daily processing operations while working alongside the team to unload shipments, check in product, label, cut stems, hydrate, and maintain cooler inventory.
  • Establish clear daily priorities and hold team members accountable for performance and accuracy.
  • Create and manage staff schedules, approve time off, and ensure proper labor coverage for seasonal and holiday demands.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and participate in performance evaluations with the Supply Chain Manager.
  • Lead first-level corrective actions and recommend termination when appropriate (final approval required).
  • Identify and implement workflow improvements to increase throughput and reduce inefficiencies.
  • Develop, track, and refine measurable productivity and accuracy standards for the department.
  • Serve as the department expert in Net Suite and the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Utilize Net Suite daily for inventory control, digital check-in, transfers, and reconciliation.
  • Oversee proper use of handheld scanners and enforce strict digital accuracy standards.

    Train, coach, and certify team members on system usage and digital workflows.
  • Develop reporting methods to track labor efficiency, output, and inventory accuracy.
  • Continuously improve system utilization to increase visibility and operational control.
Qualifications
  • Proven leadership experience in warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, or operations environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve processes, increase productivity, and drive measurable results.
  • Strong technology proficiency with inventory systems and handheld scanning devices.
  • Ability to quickly learn complex systems and effectively train others.
  • High level of accountability, organization, and communication skills.
  • Perishable goods experience and forklift certification preferred but not required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in refrigerated environments.
Schedule
  • Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 8-5
  • Thursday - 7-4
  • Friday - 8-5
  • Sun - 7am-4 (sometimes done as early as 2
  • Will also need to be available one Saturday per month.
