Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Project Manager/Principal Project Manager to join our team in Roy, UT, where you will help drive critical projects that impact national security.

The selected candidate will oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects, serving as a liaison between project management, planning, the project team, and line management. They will review project status and budgets, manage schedules and prepare status reports, assess project issues, and develop solutions to meet productivity, quality, and client‑satisfaction goals.

• Apply industry practices, techniques, and standards to execute moderately complex tasks.
• Develop solutions for problems of moderate scope and complexity, operating independently under general supervision.
• Contribute to organizational projects while exercising sound judgment to prevent costly errors.
• Engage internal and external stakeholders, representing the organization on project assignments and delivering presentations to small groups.
• Design and implement solutions to complex problems, drawing on established precedents and policies.
• Set assignment objectives, schedule and organize activities, and ensure work is reviewed for adequacy.
• Influence long‑range organizational goals; make decisions that would seriously affect the organization if erroneous.
• Serve as the organization’s primary contact on contracts and projects, engage senior stakeholders on significant matters requiring inter‑organizational coordination, and develop and deliver presentations.

• Project Manager:
  Bachelor's degree and 2 years of related experience; or 0 years with a master’s degree and an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Principal Project Manager:
  Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related experience; master’s degree and 3 years of experience;
  Ph.D. and 1 year of experience; or 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• U.S. citizen with an active DoD Secret clearance at time of application, current and within scope, and ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval.
• At least 2 years of experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule.
• Demonstrated track record in project management, execution, and closeout.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project).
• Knowledge of Project Management principles.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate with technical staff, peers, and customers.
• Experience in planning, scheduling, and managing projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience developing content, packaging, and briefing communication.

• Effective interaction across all levels of the organization and with outside organizations.
• Understanding and application of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and Control Account Management (CAM).
• Experience establishing strategy, roadmap, and vision artifacts.
• Proficiency with AWS, Windows software packages, Atlassian Tool Suite, and other electronic databases.
• Agile development experience.
• CAM certification.
• PMP certification.

Primary Level Salary Range: $65,500.00 – $98,300.00.

Secondary Level Salary Range: $81,400.00 – $.
