As a member of the Contracting and Network Operations team, our Technical Project Manager II oversees work efforts from initial concept to completion, managing delivery plans, schedules, and resources while coordinating with agile or PRO Project Managers. This role ensures quality and timely delivery by tracking progress, managing risks and scope, and handling projects of varying complexity and technical requirements – all in service of creating a person-focused health care experience.

Qualifications- The Technical Project Manager II would have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field and a minimum five years progressive project management experience to include managing multiple projects concurrently or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Familiarity with Project Management Institute Guide and PMBOK, including project lifecycle understanding
- Strong understanding of health plan contracting and network operations
- High-level technical understanding of business requirements with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage small work efforts independently while motivating teams and collaborating with business sponsors to implement solutions
- Proven ability to identify problems, mediate issues, develop solutions, and implement corrective actions
- Demonstrated success meeting budget, timeline, and requirement targets while managing project variances
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite, automated project management software, and understanding of Agile/ITIL frameworks
- Strong interpersonal skills including writing, presenting, and facilitating across all management levels and stakeholders
- Expertise in budgeting, change management, risk management, planning/organization, and business lifecycle methodology
- Responsible for work effort outcomes through estimate collection, planning, scope management, resource allocation, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communication
- Monitors and reports on tasks, deliverables, costs, resources, issues, and quality assurance while defining and analyzing metrics to ensure projects stay on target
- Creates and maintains compliant documentation including schedules, budgets, and plans for quality, resources, communications, and risks
- Manages multiple work efforts simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery within budgetary constraints while recommending cost-effective solutions
- Prepares status reports and presents information to organizational leadership, work teams, and client/customer groups
- Assembles project teams, assigns responsibilities, identifies resources, and provides guidance while adhering to established project management standards
- Identifies, escalates, and communicates critical issues, risks, and program-level decisions to leadership in a clear and timely manner, providing data-driven insights and recommendations that enable strategic decision-making
- Holds team members accountable for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work products while implementing performance standards and quality controls to ensure compliance with regulatory and operational requirements
