Maintenance Technician
Location:
American Fork, and Provo, Utah
Shift: 2-2-3 shift. This means one week you will have the weekend off and the next you will take time off during the week.
Week 1 example:
Mon and Tues work, Wed - Fri off, Sat & Sun work
Week 2 example:
Mon and Tues off, Wed-Fri Work, Sat & Sun off
Day shift: 5:00 am to 5:30 pm. Graves: 5:00 pm to 5:30 am. Pay: $25.00 to $30.00 an hour
Under supervision, our Maintenance Technician will perform mechanical maintenance and preventative maintenance work. Other duties include: diagnose and repair production equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and general plant equipment or other tasks as assigned.
Key Responsibilities- Fabricate new equipment, modify existing equipment as needed
- Work with other mechanics repairing equipment as needed
- Perform general maintenance duties throughout facility
- Help maintain safety, environmental and other equipment and programs as needed
- Troubleshoot, repair and maintain machinery
- Perform preventative maintenance on machinery
- Design and build new equipment for various processes. Modify old equipment as processes change
- Work with Maintenance Manager on projects as needed
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Must have a basic knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, and/or electronics
- A working knowledge of food manufacturing, production, fulfillment, and various machinery used in food production plant
- Must have basic computer skills
- Must be able to operate the following tools and equipment: hand tools, mobile and stationary equipment in plant, and drill press
- 1+ year in Food Manufacturing Maintenance strongly preferred
- Heavy experience and working knowledge in electrical
- Problem-solving, analytical, and trouble-shooting skills REQUIRED to resolve manufacturing and logistics issues
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
- English/Spanish Bilingual a plus
