The successful candidate will learn and master existing Altius marketing methods, channels, and tasks, partner with the CEO to identify, implement, and refine new channels and programs, and build a world‑class marketing department.
Key Responsibilities- Continue, improve upon, and complete an ongoing company‑wide re‑branding project.
- Work closely with senior executives, in‑staff developers, software vendors, and graphic artists to design, perfect, and launch a new Altius website () and improved user interface.
- Ensure the Altius brand is congruent across all sales, media, and fulfillment activities.
- Build, lead, and mentor a growing Altius Marketing Department while increasing revenue to support expansion.
- Own and be accountable for the full customer journey through all touchpoints, including the building and maintenance of multiple marketing and sales funnels.
- Regularly review, adjust, and improve Altius’ Global Marketing Strategy to significantly increase sales, revenue, and market share.
- Remain at the forefront of new marketing technologies and strategies to innovate, improve, and drive revenue growth.
- Manage all marketing employees, vendors, contractors, and the annual marketing budget.
- Plan, execute, and launch existing monthly and annual marketing initiatives in a timely manner; present pre‑launch plans and visuals to the executive team for approval and feedback.
- Track competitor advertising and marketing to ensure Altius is ideally positioned.
- Lead the design and execution of campaigns, collaterals, and product positioning for new product launches.
- Focus daily on tracking and improving marketing‑related data and KPIs, including ROAS, CPC, CPA, LTV, etc.
- 6+ years of progressively responsible sales or marketing experience, preferably in a start‑up or high‑growth environment.
- 2+ years of marketing‑specific supervisory or management experience at a director level or equivalent.
- Documentable experience with paid digital marketing and all or most of the commonly used tools and software; at a minimum, this includes Adwords, FB/IG, and SEO.
- Bachelor’s degree is not required; additional on‑the‑job experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Documented portfolio of previous marketing deliverables (campaigns, collaterals, initiatives, etc.) for which you were largely or primarily responsible.
- Must be a genuine entrepreneur insistent on results, capable of wearing multiple hats, and at home in a rapidly changing, semi‑chaotic environment.
- Superb analytical and project management skills.
- Able to put ego aside and do whatever it takes to get the job done.
- Comfortable giving and receiving open and honest feedback with the goal of improving the work of your team and the company as a whole.
- At peace with the expectation that raises, promotions, bonuses, etc., will be rewarded based on measurable revenue contributions, not CTRs, visitors, impressions, etc.
- Competitive base salary.
- Annual bonus tied directly to profitability.
- Unlimited vacation and PTO, plus flexible work schedules.
- One full week off for both Thanksgiving and Christmas.
- Premium Medical & Dental Group Health Insurance.
- 401k with guaranteed 3% annual contribution.
- Tuition reimbursement for approved employee development classes, conferences, etc.
- Do work that matters; change lives every day.
- Be an integral part of a team driven to accomplish massive goals, such as revolutionizing the U.S. educational model.
- Work with people who are fiercely loyal to you, giving you every possible opportunity to succeed, including opportunities to fail, learn, and try again.
- New, modern work environment with flexible work spaces, a soda fountain, and a fully‑stocked break room.
- Decidedly non‑corporate, candid, open, family‑like executive team and culture.
