Digital Marketing Manager, Prospective Students

Brigham Young University is seeking a creative, strategic, and data-driven Digital Marketing Manager to join our Enrollment Services Marketing & Communications team. In this role, you'll lead digital marketing initiatives that inspire prospective students to explore, apply, and enroll m managing social media and email campaigns to overseeing digital advertising and direct mail, you'll play a key role in helping students discover an education that prepares them to make a difference.
WhatYou’ll Be Doing
- Develop and manage digital marketing campaigns across email, social media, paid advertising, SMS, and other digital channels.
- Own and grow Admissions’ social media presence by creating engaging content, managing publishing calendars, and interacting with prospective students.
- Design and execute recruitment-focused email and SMS campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud and integrated tools.
- Lead planning and execution of prospective student direct mail campaigns, including welcome packages and print recruitment materials.
- Monitor campaign performance, analyze audience and engagement data, and use insights to optimize future campaigns and marketing strategies.
- Ensure all communications align with BYU brand standards, messaging, accessibility requirements, and university policies.
- Partner with Admissions, Enrollment Services, Church Educational System (CES) partners, campus departments, designers, and external vendors to deliver coordinated marketing initiatives.
- Stay current on emerging digital marketing trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance campaign effectiveness.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two years of experience in digital marketing, communications, or higher education marketing.
- Experience managing social media platforms, email marketing campaigns, and digital advertising.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to develop compelling, audience-focused content aligned with established brand standards.
- Experience analyzing marketing performance metrics and translating data into actionable insights.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience using Canva or similar content creation tools.
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist Certification, or the ability to obtain certification within six months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Experience in higher education marketing.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro).
- Experience with HTML, AMPscript, or marketing personalization tools.
Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter‑day Saints must hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend.
Benefits and CompensationCompensation: Pay Grade: 52. Typical Starting Pay: $65,500-$84,500 (may vary based on experience).
