Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department
Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using evidence‑based practice, coordinated with an interdisciplinary health team.
Responsibilities- Assess:
Perform comprehensive assessments of physical, social, and psychological status, including cognitive and developmental skills. - Plan:
Use assessment data and critical thinking to develop individualized plans of care; involve patient, family, and team. - Implement:
Direct and delegate interdisciplinary care, document care consistency, set priorities, coordinate resources. - Evaluate:
Review patient response, adjust plan, and reassess changes as necessary. - Professionalism:
Promote nursing profession, integrate legal and ethical standards, maintain accurate documentation, and comply with regulations.
- Current active RN license in the state of practice.
- Valid compact RN license transferred within 60 days of employment.
- BLS certification for healthcare providers.
- Minimum of 1year of licensed RN experience (or BSN within 4years if less than 12 months of experience).
- BSN required as of 4/27/2025; earlier hires retain prior requirements.
- Preferred:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
Variable shifts with differential pay for evenings, nights, and weekends.
LocationUtah Valley Hospital, Provo, Utah.
SalaryHourly rate: $34.53–$52.25 (dependent on experience).
