Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Primarily responsible for regional oversight of clinical care and facility relationships, you will also round 2‑3 days a week at your own designated facility to care for patients experiencing difficulty participating in therapy due to pain or functional limitations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Clinical point of contact for all providers in your region
  • Clinical training to ensure all providers display excellent clinical decision making and bedside manner
  • Time shadowing each provider in the region
  • Regular clinical and facility meetings with facility staff
  • Focused assessments and development of individualized treatment plans in collaboration with facility primary care teams to optimize therapy participation and functional recovery
  • Providing targeted interventions such as joint injections, Botox treatments, dry needling, and medication management based on patient‑specific needs
  • Supporting physiatrists on‑site and operating with a high level of autonomy
  • Coordinating care and referring to other specialties or services for issues beyond the scope of physiatry

This role is best suited for a self‑motivated and confident clinician who thrives in independent practice environments and is passionate about improving rehabilitation outcomes.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
  • Current, unrestricted license as a NP or PA
  • DEA licensed or willing to obtain DEA licensure
  • Skilled Nursing Facility experience
  • Experience in physiatrics, pain management, or physical medicine & rehabilitation
  • Comfort in performing ultrasound‑guided peripheral joint injections (knees, shoulders, hips)
  • A genuine passion for providing professional, personalized care in an autonomous environment
  • Relationship and value proposition building with key stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience in a clinical leadership or supervisory role
  • Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned region
