Job Overview
The Nursing Graduate works under the direct line‑of‑sight supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) in the clinical setting and participates in the patient care delivery process. The role is designed for employees in the Intermountain Nurse Residency program, for up to 12 weeks while pursuing RN licensure. Failure to pass the State Board exam or be hired into another position will result in termination.

Salary: $32.27hour (New Grad RN: $35.22hour). Shift: Night, 3‑12 hour shifts (18:00–06:00) with alternating weekends and holiday rotations. Preferred:
Cardiac Care Capstone or Technology background. Must have less than 1yr of RN experience to be considered a New Grad.
- Demonstrate understanding of the nursing process and development, implementation, and revision of patient care plans under RN supervision.
- Collect patient data (e.g., vital signs) and report significant changes to the RN.
- Complete accurate documentation under RN supervision.
- Observe and discuss the prioritization of patient needs, development of interdisciplinary care plans, and modifications with the RN.
- Observe implementation of care plans, considering patients’ physical, emotional, social, age, ethnic, and other factors.
- Report patient responses to treatments and collaborate with the RN on modifications to nursing interventions.
- Participate in patient and family education based on assessment, diagnosis, learning readiness, and requests.
- Maintain responsibility for patient care delivery and discuss all aspects of care with the RN.
- Comply with legal and ethical standards, complete accurate documentation, and maintain confidentiality.
- Achieve RN licensure in a timely manner per Intermountain Health standards and complete the Nursing Residency program.

- Successful completion of a recognized and accredited Nursing (RN) education program (education will be verified).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
Ongoing need to see, read, and interpret labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, and identify equipment. Involves frequent verbal communication with patients and caregivers. Requires manual dexterity for manipulating equipment, typing for documentation, and medication preparation. Requires lifting and transferring patients, bending, and carrying supplies. May involve standing for extended periods and navigating busy environments. Driving may be required for certain roles.
