Mental Health Nurse
Join Wasatch Behavioral Health as a Full-Time Registered Nurse and make a meaningful impact through compassionate, client-centered behavioral healthcare. You'll work alongside psychiatrists, DNPs/APRNs, and multidisciplinary teams to support the mental and physical health of clients across a variety of programs. This position offers a competitive wage of $23.03–$41.29/hour and the opportunity to help individuals and families improve their wellness, achieve greater independence, and move forward in their recovery journey.
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 7:30 AM–5:30 PM
Compensation: $23.03–$41.29 DOE and Licensure

What You'll Do as a Registered Nurse- Monitor and administer medications while educating clients on proper use and treatment compliance.
- Track medication effects, recognize adverse reactions, and communicate observations to medical staff.
- Document doctor's orders, progress notes, and intake/admission records to ensure accuracy and audit readiness.
- Participate in treatment team reviews and maintain up-to-date clinical documentation.
- Coordinate with doctors, pharmacies, hospitals, and community partners to ensure continuity of care.
- Complete health assessments including vitals, mental status evaluations, and progress monitoring.
- Assist clients with accessing free or subsidized medication programs and maintain accurate medication inventories.
- Prepare pill boxes for designated programs and maintain controlled-substance logs.
- Communicate with clients, guardians, and prescribers regarding medication instructions and authorizations.
- Provide individual and group health education to support positive mental-health habits.
- Support residential programs with medication management, medical appointments, and daily wellbeing needs.
- Investigate documentation discrepancies and ensure compliance with WBH medication protocols.
- Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited college.
- Current Utah RN license required. LPNs may be considered as an underfill.
- Mental health experience preferred.
- Must pass a drug screen, motor vehicle record review, and criminal background check.
- Must obtain a Utah Office of Licensing BCI clearance after hire.
- Must provide official licensure documentation upon conditional offer.
- Spanish speakers may qualify for a wage increase.
Employment at Wasatch Behavioral Health is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen, motor vehicle record review and criminal background check. After hire you must complete and receive a Criminal Background Clearance (BCI) from Utah State Office of Licensing. Upon receipt of a conditional offer of employment in the position, you must provide an official copy of licensure or certification.
