Assistant III
The individual in this position will collaborate with researchers to conduct investigations and studies related to Alzheimer’s disease. The primary role will be to assist in various stages of the research process, primarily data collection. The position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills and the ability to work as part of a research team.
What You’ll Do In This Position- Collect and record data through the administration of standard AD cognitive assessments.
- Support the planning and execution of fieldwork events.
- Record and input data into REDCap.
- Ensure accurate and consistent data collection.
- Maintain detailed records of research procedures, data and results.
- Participate in research team meetings and discussion.
- Perform statistical analysis, coding and qualitative analysis on collected data.
- Contribute to the preparation of manuscripts and presentations.
- Knowledge and training of MRI techniques and protocols.
- A firm commitment to the mission of BYU.
- Fluency in Tongan and other languages and cultures of the Pacific Islands is highly desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in biology or related degree.
- Strong research skills.
- Experience and proficiency with using standard Alzheimer’s disease cognitive assessments tools in English and Tongan.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Previous fieldwork experience, especially in community‑based or cross‑cultural research settings.

Typical Starting Pay$16.50 to $21.25 an hour
