Utah Lake Management Fellow

Duration: 12 to 14 weeks, beginning around mid to late August (flexible start date)

Contract, Seasonal Position, $6,300 to $12,600 depending upon duration and weekly hours commitment.

The Management Fellow plays a vital role in the long-term strategic planning and vision of the Utah Lake Authority. Working under the supervision of the Deputy Director, the Fellow/Fellow will:

• Assist with administrative functions of the agency, such as: applying for permits, data analysis, program evaluation, logistics and operations
• Coordinate program development, innovate solutions and develop policies
• conduct advanced research on specific topics in environmental and natural resource management, outdoor recreation, public policy, and operational efficiency, efficacy, and innovation.
• Management Fellows serve as a sounding board to the executive team of the organization, participate in high level discussions, and present findings to the ULA governing board.

• Currently enrolled in an accredited MPA, MBA, MPP, or similar graduate program, or recent graduate in a related field.
• Experience in advanced research in environmental and natural resource management, and/or public policy.
• Experience in operational efficiency, efficacy and innovation.

• Strong qualitative research skills
• Strong communication
• Project management
• Qualitative research experience strongly preferred
• Background in quantitative analysis welcome
