There's a lot happening behind the scenes at Chuck-A-Rama. Our Back of House Team Members work together to prepare the fresh, made-from-scratch food our guests love and keep our kitchens clean, organized, and running smoothly. As a Back of House Team Member, you'll be part of the kitchen team that makes the Chuck-A-Rama experience possible. Depending on your shift and where you're needed, you may help prepare ingredients, follow recipes, cook and prepare food, stock workstations, clean kitchen areas, or support other members of the team.

It's a great opportunity for someone who likes staying busy, working with their hands, and learning different parts of a restaurant kitchen.

No experience? No problem. We'll teach you what you need to know.

What You'll Do

A typical shift may include:

• Preparing ingredients and helping make fresh food for the buffet
• Following Chuck-A-Rama recipes and preparation instructions
• Setting up and stocking kitchen workstations
• Helping cooks and other kitchen team members prepare food
• Keeping ingredients, supplies, and equipment organized and ready to use
• Checking food for quality, freshness, and presentation
• Keeping kitchen and work areas clean, organized, and sanitized
• Safely using kitchen tools and equipment
• Following food safety, sanitation, and handling procedures
• Communicating with teammates to keep food and supplies moving where they're needed
• Cleaning as you work and helping with end-of-shift duties
• Jumping in wherever an extra set of hands is needed

What We're Looking For

Great Back of House Team Members understand that teamwork keeps the kitchen moving. You don't have to come in knowing everything—we're looking for people who are ready to learn and willing to work. We're looking for someone who:

• Is at least 16 years old
• Is dependable and ready to work
• Enjoys staying active and working in a fast-paced environment
• Can follow recipes, instructions, and food preparation procedures
• Pays attention to quality and detail
• Works well as part of a team
• Communicates well with teammates
• Takes pride in keeping their workspace clean and organized
• Is willing to obtain a Food Handler Permit
• Understands the importance of food safety and sanitation
• Is comfortable standing, walking, and staying active throughout a shift
• Is willing to learn different areas of the kitchen and help wherever needed
• No previous restaurant experience is required. Bring a great attitude, a willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic, and we'll help with the rest.
