Garden Center Merchandiser

We are seeking a dedicated and creative SBT (Scan Based Trade) Garden Center Merchandiser to join our team. This role is essential in enhancing the visual appeal of our plants in the garden center, ensuring that our plants and products are displayed attractively and effectively. The ideal candidate must have strong perennial plant knowledge, a passion for gardening, an attention to detail, strong customer service skills, and the ability to manage inventory efficiently.

This job consists of driving to multiple stores throughout the day.

• Maintain SBT store displays by cleaning and condensing flats to show off beautiful, healthy plants
• Maintain inventory levels by monitoring stock and performing regular inventory control checks for proper ordering.
• Assist customers with inquiries, providing knowledgeable advice on plant care and gardening techniques.
• Working with garden center employees to ensure plants are watered daily
• Securing, setting, and moving flats when required as designated by Garden Center Manager
• Travel to multiple stores in Utah Valley
• Seasonal Job
  - Mid March-June with possible extension

• General plant knowledge of perennials, herbs and sedums is required. Master Gardener, Horticulture degree, Nursery, Greenhouse or Garden Center experience is a priority.
• Ability to lift 20 pounds repeatedly and comfortable relocating fully loaded metal plant racks and flats when needed
• Reliability, responsibility and good communication with team members
• Ability to work well independently
• Personal smartphone or able to use company tablet for online ordering and plant research on the internet
• Insured personal vehicle for transportation
• Excellent customer service skills to provide an exceptional shopping experience.

• PT hours vary with the season (25-50hrs/wk)
