Tire & Battery Technician - Automotive

Position Summary

As a Tire & Battery Center Technician you will work to provide safe and efficient service in both the sales and service areas of the department and deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the club meets the member’s expectations.

  :
  Collaborates with team members to fulfil sales and service requests, educates other associates on tools, tasks and resources, mentors new technicians, and communicates and develops interpersonal skills for providing safe and efficient customer service.
• Be an Expert
  :
  Demonstrates knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS, product specifications and seasonality, as well as Point of Sale systems, phone and in‑person selling techniques.
• Be a Techie
  :
  Leverages digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the service experience, and elevate associate engagement, utilizing handheld technology and systems to make immediate business decisions related to services, safety alerts, new product information, product application and training.
• Be an Owner
  :
  Communicates equipment, tools and supplies needs to TBC Lead, tracks and monitors returns and special orders, operates cash registers, processes transactions, maintains accurate inventory, audits safety and compliance standards, reports complaints, safety hazards and problems with products/services, and completes paperwork, logs and required documentation.

  :
  Acts as a brand advocate, values the member experience, models high‑quality service and products, and develops, influences and inspires others to work in a respectful, supportive, team‑oriented style.
• Complies with company policies, procedures and standards of ethics and integrity, applying the Open Door Policy to execute business processes and practices.
• Continually collaborates with managers, coworkers, customers and other partners to identify priorities, deadlines and expectations, and to recommend ways to address improvement opportunities.

• Valid State‑issued Driver's License.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Preferred:
  Auto service industry, Retail Experience.

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 to $27.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
