Position SummaryThe Installation Lead is responsible for leading on-site installation crews, coordinating day-to-day project activities, and ensuring all FF&E installations are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule as well as responding to service requests. This role serves as the primary on-site point of contact for project managers, general contractors, and clients, ensuring each job reflects Ably Built’s high standards of precision and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities- Lead installation crews on commercial FF&E projects.
- Execute installation plans according to project drawings, specifications, and manufacturer guidelines.
- Coordinate daily tasks, delegate responsibilities, and maintain productivity on site.
- Serve as the on-site representative for Ably Built, communicating professionally with clients, contractors, and project managers.
- Conduct site walkthroughs to verify conditions, identify obstacles, and ensure project readiness.
- Ensure all installations meet Ably Built quality standards and project timelines.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, time tracking, and installation documentation.
- Monitor jobsite safety, enforce safety protocols, and conduct toolbox talks as needed.
- Troubleshoot installation issues and provide real-time solutions.
Coordinate and perform service calls, punch-list items, and warranty work to ensure long-term performance of installed FF&E. - Manage tools, equipment, and materials to prevent loss or damage.
- Train, mentor, and support crew members to promote skill development and efficiency.
- 3+ years of experience in commercial FF&E installation, millwork installation, commercial construction, or related fields.
- 1+ year of crew leadership.
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, floor plans, and installation specifications.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and installation equipment.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift 100 lbs and work on active construction sites.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills.
- Proven ability to lead crews and maintain project momentum.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Experience working in commercial office, hospitality, furniture systems, or architectural products installation.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Forklift, scissor lift, or aerial lift certification.
- Experience coordinating with GCs, architects, and project managers.
- Familiarity with digital project management tools and applications.
