Job Summary
Equipment Share is hiring a Heavy Equipment Shop Technician (Mechanic) at our Provo, UT rental facility. The role involves maintenance and repair of heavy equipment and aerial lifts for customers and the company, working on the newest fleet.
ScheduleMonday to Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM with overtime after 40 hours. The position also requires on‑call scheduling with additional compensation.
Primary Responsibilities- Practice safe job practices for repairing equipment
- Use technology (laptops and tablets) comfortably
- Maintain and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment, using independent judgment
- Assist in training lower‑level technicians as needed
- Maintain paperwork and electronic documentation of work performed in a timely manner daily
- Assist with pickup and delivery of equipment and parts
- Be knowledgeable of OSHA requirements (preferred)
- Receive year‑round company‑provided OEM training
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
- Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams
- Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills
- High school diploma, trade‑school certificate preferred
- Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair preferred
- Must be able to move, stand, stoop, and bend freely
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
- Position is safety‑sensitive and any offer of employment is contingent on passing a 10‑panel drug screen
