Human Service Worker Part Time

Join Wasatch Behavioral Health as a Part-Time Human Service Worker with our Attachment Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) in Provo, Utah! This meaningful opportunity offers a competitive wage of $17.50–$22.17/hour and the chance to make a positive difference in the lives of youth and families. Attachment IOP is an 8-week after school program serving youth ages 10–17 who have been adopted or are being raised by caregivers other than their biological parents and are working through attachment-related challenges.

Through structured activities, supportive interactions, and skill-building opportunities, you'll help youth strengthen relationships, improve emotional regulation, and develop social and daily living skills that support success at home, school, and in the community.

Schedule:

Monday–Thursday, 1:00 PM–7:00 PM No weekends or grave shifts. Pickup is from (1:00-3:00) clinical is (3:00-5:30) Drop off is from (5:30-7:00)
Compensation: $17.50–$22.17 DOE

What You'll Do as a Human Service Worker Provide compassionate support, supervision, and encouragement to adolescents participating in the Attachment IOP Program.

Facilitate structured after school activities, skills groups, and daily programming focused on emotional regulation, coping skills, and positive social development.

Help youth develop skills related to anger management, stress management, problem-solving, communication, and healthy peer relationships.

Build positive relationships with program participants while modeling appropriate behaviors and healthy coping strategies.

Support youth who are navigating attachment challenges, adoption-related experiences, mental health concerns, and behavioral difficulties.

Assist with maintaining a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment where youth feel supported and encouraged.

Provide guidance and coaching as youth practice new skills and work toward personal and family goals.

Document client interactions, progress, and observations accurately and in a timely manner.

Collaborate with therapists, supervisors, and other members of the treatment team to support individualized care.

Assist with in-home family services and scheduled respite support as needed.

Help connect youth and families with available program resources, including transportation services throughout Utah County.

Qualifications High school diploma or GEDStrong interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to stay calm, patient, and grounded during challenging situations

Reliable, team-oriented, and eager to learn

Experience or education in mental/behavioral health is helpful but not required

Must pass a background check and meet WBH hiring standards

Spanish speakers may qualify for a wage increase
