We're looking for a leader who will own technical direction, set the standard for how the team builds software, and help shape a codebase that is designed for how engineering works now — not how it worked three years ago.

• Loves jumping on calls to walk through pull requests or complex features.
• Questions whether the juice is worth the squeeze

• Reads and/or references documentation instead of trusting AI (and yes, actually reads it).
• Takes emergency late-night calls. Builds systems that minimize them.
• Doesn’t underestimate the power of body language:
  Comfortable with camera‑on collaboration

• Willing to work in‑office on a weekly or monthly cadence, depending on location.
• All other obvious expectations:
  Agile ceremonies, high‑quality output, mentoring, best practices, observability, scalability, security, etc.

• Uses and improves AI tooling and workflows as a core part of how they write, review, and ship code — not as a novelty.
• Has the taste to distinguish between AI‑generated code that’s good enough to ship and code that just looks right. Holds the team to the same standard.
• Anticipates future changes and builds patterns that make those changes easy.
• Type Script across the full stack.
• Truly understands backend and frontend concerns and how they interact — not just framework‑level knowledge.
• Third‑party integrations via APIs, webhooks, and event‑driven patterns.
• Database schema design, ORM usage, and migrations.
• Observability: logs, metrics, and analytics pipelines.
• CI/CD: containerization, infrastructure as code, automated migrations.
