Press Ganey is offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer to support the Clinical Solutions products.
Duties & Responsibilities- Design and implement software front‑end application enhancements and bug fixes given general instructions.
- Participate in iteration and release planning.
- Adhere to core design and testing principles.
- Understand and interpret detailed technical specifications.
- Follow and update the design specifications as needed.
- Learn and follow standards, processes and procedures.
- Author supporting documentation.
- Prepare own work for inclusion in the release/deployment management process.
- Participate in peer technical reviews.
- Troubleshoot identified problems and provide support and follow‑up for issues.
- Complete assigned design tasks within the time allotted.
- Mentor software developers and ensure the quality of their work.
- Coordinate with other IT and business teams.
- Train other developers on standards, policies, and procedures.
- Support software applications and coordinate the issue resolution process.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, specifically with Microsoft SQL Server, and familiarity with recent AI‑first driven planning, development, and testing models.
- Knowledge of basic statistics.
- Strong software engineering skills on the .NET Core platform with web front‑end technologies including Angular, React, JavaScript, and CSS.
- Experience in JSON and API development methodologies.
- Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) – preferred.
- Experience with CI/CD – preferred (Git Lab experience highly desirable).
- Experience with test‑driven development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Knowledge of agile methodologies and experience working in an agile environment.
- Thorough understanding of data structures and object‑oriented techniques.
- Project‑task multi‑tasking, prioritization, and individual time‑management skills.
- At least a Bachelor’s Degree or comparable broad‑based work experience – required.
- Advanced training or certification in software design/development – advantage.
- Six or more years of experience as a Data Engineer or Database Administrator (DBA).
- Six or more years of experience in software development.
- Participation in code reviews.
- Ability to communicate best‑practice solutions to other developers.
- Ability to present technical ideas and collaborate with development teams to identify best‑practice solutions.

The Senior Software Engineer will operate in a hybrid working model in the United States. For those near a hub location (Chicago, IL, Boston, MA, or South Bend, IN) the team gathers in office locations three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday). The remaining days are remote. This role is for a U.S.‑based candidate.
Salary & BenefitsThe expected base salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $130,000. Offers are based on a variety of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications. In addition to the base salary and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus or commission tied to achieved results.
