Overview

A Snapshot of Your Day Join Siemens Energy as a Power Plant Engineer and immerse yourself in the dynamic world of Operations & Maintenance Services. You will play a crucial role in supporting the production of Bulk Electrical Energy for a Co-Op market. Collaborate with diverse teams to ensure facility operations, equipment performance, and maintenance activities meet safety, efficiency, and regulatory standards.

Your expertise will drive improvements and help ensure seamless operations.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and Back-Office teams to support facility improvements.
  • Create and review technical drawings, facilitate design enhancements, and manage the change process effectively.
  • Oversee contractor coordination and vendor support for construction and installation projects.
  • Ensure all facility operations align with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Support troubleshooting and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across facility operations and documentation processes.
What You Bring
  • 5 or more years of proven experience in industrial maintenance, operations, or engineering within a power plant environment. Candidates with more experience may be considered at a higher level, while those with less experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with 3 or more years of experience, or 10 years of equivalent related work experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical (LV, MV, and HV systems), and automation troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with Gas and Steam turbines used in power generation is preferred.
  • Knowledge of power plant environmental emissions/discharge compliance and reporting.
  • Familiarity with NERC regulations and reporting is essential.
  • Experience with CMMS platforms and digital maintenance tools.
  • Extensive experience with power plant processes and controls, specifically the Siemens Energy T3000 control system, would be a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A passion for innovation and a commitment to contributing to a high-performance team.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
