Manufacturing Engineer (Technical Support Engineer)

About the Role:

This onsite role supports Google Cloud Infrastructure hardware operations at the Pryor Creek Data Center. The engineer will focus on hardware issue triage, root cause analysis, and data-driven quality improvements to minimize hardware damage and improve system availability.

• Review and investigate hardware failure tickets
• Perform structured RCA and 8D analysis
• Analyze fleet data to detect trends and recurring defects
• Escalate systemic issues to engineering/manufacturing teams
• Present performance metrics to stakeholders
• Improve repair, deployment, and population documentation

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Materials, or equivalent)
• 5+ years of experience in hardware quality or electronic systems issue resolution
• Strong troubleshooting & failure analysis skills
• SQL/JMP/Python experience for data analytics
• Data center or server hardware experience preferred
