Essential functions- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Contribute to team effort by working with others and accomplishing related functions as needed.
- Pickup and move coils between departments.
- Repair fin damage and gaps by combing straight with a fin comb.
- Put attachment flanges on fin coils.
- Provide assistance in coil production as necessary, including cutting, drilling, grinding metal fabrication, material handling.
- Read and understand bills of material.
- Check work and ensure quality.
- Complete any task as assigned by the supervisor as needed.
- Comply with government regulations, laws, company policies, and company procedures.
- Work overtime as necessary.
- Attend work as required.
- Charge time accurately in time and attendance system on the computer to ensure accurate labor distribution and payroll.
- Follow manufacturing instructions, work independently without constant supervision, be self-motivated, and complete job assignments on time.
- Care for tools and equipment. Advise maintenance of equipment that is not working correctly.
- Clean work area as required.
Education & Experience: A high school level of education is desired to continue upward advancement in the company. The employee must be able to understand directions from superiors.
Skills: Effective communications skills, good listening skills, ability to read and comprehend written instructions, basic mathematical skills, including the ability to read a tape measure down to 1/16 of an inch, ability to control operations of equipment or system, monitoring/assessing performance of yourself, other individuals or organization to make improvements or take corrective action, good people skills to work in teams with others in the organization.

Interaction with othersAnswers to Coil Shop Supervisor. Must be able to accurately receive, understand & follow instructions from supervisor/lead. The employee must be able to work with all employees of the RAE team and show a spirit of cooperation with others in the organization. To accomplish this teamwork, the employee must get along well with coworkers and be willing to ask and answer questions as needed.
Workingenvironment
Work is performed in a heavy industrial production area where the employee is constantly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is usually high in some areas, and they are exposed to extreme temperatures in both winter and summer—possible stress caused by the pressure of meeting deadlines and product quality standards and possibly long hours.
