Assist in the operation of cigarette manufacturing and packaging process, load and unload packaging materials, help facilitate efficient production of high‑quality tobacco finished goods. Employees are responsible for duties in assigned areas and cross‑training for coverage in additional departments.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities- Assist Operator with set‑up on production equipment per detailed work instructions.
- Ensure the proper materials are used, as per scheduled guidelines and brand requirements.
- Inspect packaging of product to ensure quality is maintained within established quality guidelines.
- Communicate with other employees and supervision to ensure proper materials are being used.
- Support and maintain a proper level of materials to ensure adequate supply and maintain production.
- Ability to learn and retain knowledge regarding various duties and various department guidelines.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail, proactivity, and effective follow‑through.
- Flexibility to function in a fast paced and innovative environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a manufacturing warehouse environment.
- Forklift experience
- Walking, climbing, stooping, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds
- Must be visually capable to distinguish differences in color and wording on product and to detect non‑tobacco related materials.
- This role is based on a fast‑paced, climate‑controlled production environment.
- Requires standing for extended periods and exposure to manufacturing noise.
- Must follow all safety, hygiene, and PPE (personal protective equipment) protocols.
