Job SummaryThe Auxiliary Operator is responsible for inspecting and sorting raw tobacco to remove foreign objects and non-tobacco materials. This position plays a critical role in maintaining product quality and supporting efficient production operations. The role requires standing for extended periods, repetitive motion, and the ability to lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Inspect raw tobacco visually and manually to identify and remove foreign materials.
- Maintain a consistent workflow to support production demands and quality standards.
- Follow established safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Keep work area clean, organized, and free of obstructions.
- Report quality issues or safety concerns to the supervisor immediately.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Previous manufacturing or production experience is beneficial but not required.
- Ability to stand on feet for an entire shift (8–12 hours).
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Work performed in a production facility with exposure to tobacco dust, varying temperatures, and moderate noise levels.
