Role Overview :
The Fin Press Operator at RAE Corporation will operate mechanical fin press machines to form aluminum and copper fins used in heat transfer coils. The operator is responsible for regular machine maintenance and the production of fins according to the coil production schedule. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently while ensuring the highest quality standards are met.

• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Read and understand engineering drawings, instructions, and bills of materials.
• Calculate material and load requirements based on the fin schedule.
• Set up and operate fin press machines to produce required fin specifications.
• Log completed loads on the fin schedule accurately.
• Disassemble and clean dies and machines regularly.
• Service and lubricate machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Perform quality checks to ensure all fins meet the required standards.
• Contribute to team efforts by working collaboratively with others.
• Complete tasks as assigned by the supervisor promptly.
• Comply with all government regulations, laws, company policies, and procedures.
• Work overtime as necessary to meet production demands.
• Attend work as scheduled and arrive on time.
• Accurately log time in the time and attendance system for proper labor distribution and payroll processing.
• Follow manufacturing instructions, work independently, and complete job assignments on time.
• Maintain tools and equipment, reporting any issues to maintenance as needed.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.

Qualifications:



Education & Experience:

A high school diploma is preferred to support upward mobility within the company. The ability to understand directions from supervisors is essential.


Skills:

Effective communication and listening skills, ability to read and comprehend written instructions, basic mathematical skills, equipment operation proficiency, performance monitoring for improvement, and strong teamwork abilities.
• Certificates, Licenses, or Training:
Forklift license and on-site training are required.

Level/Grade:
1. Beginning Level: Meets minimal quality standards; needs more time to complete work than estimated.
2. Proficient Level: Meets quality standards and completes work within estimated time.
3. Advanced Level: Exceeds quality standards and completes work in less time than estimated.

Interaction with Others:
Reports to Coil Shop Supervisor. The Fin Press Operator must accurately receive, understand, and follow instructions from the supervisor. This role requires strong collaboration skills to work effectively with all RAE team members, fostering a spirit of cooperation within the organization.

Working Environment:
Work is performed in an industrial production area where the employee is constantly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. The noise level is high in some areas, requiring hearing protection. Employees are exposed to extreme temperatures in both winter and summer. The role may involve stress due to deadlines, quality standards, and seasonal workload increases based on production demands.
