What is a Maintenance Technician
The Maintenance Technician forms preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on the plant's process equipment, utilities, and facility infrastructure to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient manufacturing of unsaturated polyester and vinyl ester resins. Work is performed with a strong emphasis on safety due to the handling of hazardous materials. The technician maintains mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and PLC-automated systems across the site's unit operations, including batch reactors, mixing and blending tanks, high-speed powder dispersion tanks, powder silos, pneumatic powder transfer systems, bulk-liquid transfer piping, and utilities (compressed air, inert/nitrogen gas, steam boilers, and the thermal oxidizer).
This is an entry classification (Trainee) with a defined progression path through 3rd Class, 2nd Class, 1st Class, and ultimately General Maintenance. The Company's goal is for every maintenance worker to achieve General Maintenance and be fully cross-trained and on-call ready.
